As the owner of greater Los Angeles' largest privately owned chain of consignment on eBay Drop Off Stores, I must let everyone know that Amazon and Craigslist have surpassed eBay in some ways.

On the surface, we all know that eBay is clunky and confused.  As a seller of used items on eBay, I have painfully witnessed eBay's real core problem.  It is an auction site that thinks it's not an auction site.  eBay wants to be Amazon and eBay at the same time, which is a recipe for failure.  When eBay realizes that it is an auction site after all, then eBay will again bounce back to greatness.  eBay still has the largest number of page views.

In a half-witted attempt to grab more money by discouraging expensive shipping, eBay recently decided to punish many sellers who sell and ship large items such as furniture and appliances.  Because of this, Craigslist has now become the preferred venue to sell large household items.  If you’ve sold many large household items that are expensive to ship, and have consequently received lower DSR seller ratings, eBay may be reducing your standing in the search engines.  This will have a lowering effect of your items, especially newer items with much search engine competition.  Because of that, Amazon is now the best place to sell new and newer used items.

Own this very fine example of the popular and attractive two door coupe that saved Ford Motor Company during the strife-filled World War II era.  This trophy-winning '41 Ford Super Deluxe Business Coupe has a strong engine that starts quickly, and is eager to be driven and shown.  A strong, smooth ride!  The third owner purchased this in 1979, is moving away, and is reluctantly letting go of his highly prized possession.  Born and raised in California, this classic features very rare matching numbers on the car and engine block.  Stock original block modifications Jan. 2000.  Magnafluxed, bored 30k over & honed, surface bloked and decked.  All new inners, 3/4 Isky Max 1 cam, bearing, new crankshaft, rods, pistons, rings, valves, springs, adjustable lifters, aluminum timing gear, crankshaft gear, pins, seals, etc.  Balanced engine.  Offenhauser intake manifold, dual Holly 94 polished carbs, Offenhauser 8.5 compression polished heads, Headman coated headers, w/ Smitty dual mufflers.  2 inch rake.  Approx. 1500 miles on modified original flathead.

Defects are minor, including: a bit of wear on the hand brake and control pulls; 5" shallow scrape dent on driver side forward of the back bumper; lining slightly pulled up below the steering column; wiring slightly exposed under the glovebox; lighter or knob missing; minor uneveness of the rubber stripping around the passenger vent window; minor paint peeling around part of the driver door jam; minor paint unevenness next to tiny seam above the front driver side wheelwell; minor paint blemish near the back bottom; areas of minor light soil on floor carpet, minor blemishes on the whitewalls.  None of the defects are very noticeable.  This car is simply stunning -- a timeless trophy on wheels.
